How consignment is different than resale or thrift.

Ladies, there is a HUGE difference between Consignment, Resale and Thrift and they should NEVER EVER be considered in the same bucket.
So here is a quick breakdown:
1. Thrift - These items are donated by the original owner and range widely in quality and condition. (Example: Goodwill)
2. Resale - These items are paid for in bulk. The acceptance criteria varies, however it is based on quantity not quality. (Example: Clothes Mentor)
3. Consignment - We work with the garment owners. They bring in articles based on an original criteria set out in the Cosigner's Agreement. They are inspected by our highly qualified staff and any item that does not meet our standards is rejected. Once the items sells, the consignor is paid a percentage based on what the article sold for. (Example: Lucille's Boutique, Tami's Chique Unique Boutique)
There are many things that set Consignment boutique's apart from resale and thrift.
1. There is no 'sifting through'. We arrange the boutique not only by garment type (pant, short, dress, top etc..) but we group by size and color and in some cases by designer.
2. Our highly trained staff knows our inventory and is available whether you are simply looking for that next great outfit or have a special event you are shopping for.
So, in future, if you want the best quality with the least hassle, SHOP CONSIGNMENT!
